The first locally-produced Indonesian wine, with its own vineyard, winery and wine hub located in the heart of Sanur, Bali, was established in 1994, bringing an extraordinary and unique taste of Bali to hotels and restaurants all over Indonesia. Its local products are defying the traditional winemaking rules in using unconventional grapes, grown in the North coast of the island, with the fresh Rosé as the company’s flagship wine.
Hatten Wines aim to produce quality wines that are suited for both the tropical climate and the spicy and delicious food of Indonesia, as well as international cuisines found in the Island. Hatten Wines is also the first to produce the méthode traditionelle Sparkling Rosé and Sparkling Brut. Among its wine range is the Pino De Bali, made with fortified Pineau des Charentes method. Also included are the Aga Red, Aga White, and the sweet white wine, Alexandria.
Under the Hatten Wines company is the TWO Islands Wines brand, with grapes from South Australia and vinified in Bali. In 2007, the Shiraz and Chardonnay were introduced, followed by other varieties—the dry Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio for its white wines range, and Pinot Noir and Cabernet Merlot for its red variety.
To cater to the Asian market, the Dragonfly Moscato was launched in 2014. This light, sweet wine is made for the social drinkers who would like to enjoy the taste and flavor of wine but with minimal alcohol effect.
Over the past few years, Hatten Wines with its products and brands, has collected awards from prestigious competitions and accolades from wine experts, writers, also featured in articles and books worldwide. Being voted in the Top 10 for Fastest Improving Producers in Asia, and Wine Pioneer in Asia, recently also received Winery of The Year 2017 from Asian Wine Review, Hatten Wines is a Balinese company, committed to international standards of quality and taste.
